Easy to prepare Small Batch Vanilla Peach Jam made with fresh peaches, sugar, and vanilla extract. This refrigerator-friendly summertime preserve creates two jars of rich homemade fruit spread with bright peach flavor and a smooth vanilla finish.
Ingredients
- 3 pounds peaches, about 12 peaches, pit removed, peach flesh finely chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Add the peaches and sugar to a medium-sized deep saucepan and heat over medium until the mixture begins to bubble
- Reduce the heat to simmer and stir
- Allow the fruit to cook and naturally break down while stirring every 20 minutes
- Stir more frequently as the jam thickens
- Cook until the jam reaches your preferred consistency
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract
- Carefully pour hot jam into clean sterile mason jars
- Wipe jar rims clean and place on the seal
- Tighten lids until slight resistance is met
- Place jars on a kitchen towel and leave undisturbed for 12 hours
- Refrigerate for immediate use

- Use ripe peaches for best flavor
