Description

This Strawberry Peach Crisp is a warm summer dessert with juicy peaches, fresh strawberries, and a buttery oat crumble topping.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup salted butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 1/2 cups peaches peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter until crumbly.
  2. Spread half the mixture into a greased 9×9 baking pan.
  3. Top with sliced peaches and strawberries.
  4. Cook brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, and water in a saucepan over medium-high heat until thickened.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Pour syrup over the fruit.
  7. Sprinkle remaining crumble topping over the fruit.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
  9. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes if desired for extra crisp topping.

  2. Old fashioned oats create the best crumble texture.
  3. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
