Description
A cozy winter cocktail made with fresh cranberries, warm spices, and vodka — perfect for holiday comfort and immune support.
Ingredients
4 cups water
12 oz. fresh cranberries
1 cinnamon stick
¼ tsp anise seed (or 2 star anise)
5 whole cloves
⅛ tsp ground ginger
⅓ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup apple cider
1 tbsp lemon juice
6 oz. vodka
Instructions
1. Put water and cranberries in a large saucepan and bring to a boil.
2. Lower to a simmer, add in spices, cover saucepan, and cook for 20–25 minutes.
3. Strain mixture through a fine mesh strainer to extract liquid.
4. Return liquid to saucepan; add sugar, cider, and lemon juice.
5. Warm gently and stir until sugar dissolves.
6. Serve in mugs or jars and add vodka before serving.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, omit vodka and add sparkling cider.
Add a slice of lemon or cinnamon stick for garnish.
