Description
A festive chocolate chip cookie cake filled with colorful Halloween sprinkles and decorated with black and orange icing. Perfect for parties and easy to make in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
½ cup salted butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1⅓ cups all-purpose flour
½ tbsp cornstarch
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp baking powder
½ cup chocolate chips
¼ cup Halloween sprinkles (plus extra for topping)
Black and orange cookie icing (squeeze tube)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch pie dish with non-stick spray.
2. In a large bowl, cream butter and both sugars with an electric or stand mixer for about 4 minutes until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
4. Add flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix until a soft dough forms, scraping the bowl as needed.
5. Fold in chocolate chips and ¼ cup sprinkles.
6. Spread dough evenly into the prepared dish, pressing gently. Sprinkle extra sprinkles on top if desired.
7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
8. Cool completely in the dish, then decorate with black and orange icing. Slice and serve.
Notes
Avoid overbaking to keep the center soft.
For easier slicing, chill slightly after decorating.
