Description

This Homemade Fresh Peach Salsa recipe is an easy appetizer with tortilla chips, or a delicious topping for chicken, pork, or fish. This sweet and savory fruit salsa combines ripe peaches with fresh vegetables for a bright summer flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh peaches, diced
  • 1 large roma tomato, diced
  • 1/2 small red onion, diced
  • 1/2 jalapeno, minced with seeds removed
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice from 1 large lime
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add chopped peaches, tomatoes, red onion, jalapeno, and cilantro to a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the fruit and vegetables.
  3. Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over the mixture.
  4. Stir gently until ingredients combine well.
  5. Cover and let the salsa sit for 15 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for chicken, pork, or fish.

Notes

  1. Use ripe but slightly firm peaches for the best texture.
  2. Adjust jalapeno amount for more or less spice.
  3. Fresh lime juice gives the salsa the brightest flavor.
  4. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
