Description
Crispy, creamy, and sweet — these Churro Cheesecake Bars combine the cinnamon sugar flavor of churros with the rich smoothness of cheesecake. A 7-ingredient Mexican dessert recipe made easy with crescent roll dough.
Ingredients
Cinnamon Sugar:
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
½ cup granulated sugar
Cheesecake Bars:
2 (8 oz) tubes refrigerated crescent roll dough
16 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and sprinkle 1–2 tablespoons of cinnamon sugar in the bottom.
2. Unroll one tube of crescent rolls and press the seams together to form a rectangle. Place it into the bottom of the pan.
3. In a bowl, beat together cream cheese, ¾ cup sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Spread evenly over the dough layer.
4. Unroll the second tube of crescent dough, seal seams, and place on top of the filling.
5. Pour melted butter evenly over the top, then sprinkle generously with remaining cinnamon sugar.
6. Bake for 26–30 minutes, until golden brown and puffed. Cool completely on a wire rack.
7. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before slicing and serving chilled.
Notes
Optional Toppings: Drizzle with dulce de leche or caramel sauce for added indulgence.
Make-Ahead Tip: Chill overnight for enhanced flavor and easier slicing.
