Description
If you love the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, these no-bake chocolate topped peanut butter bars are for you. They’re rich, smooth, and ready to eat in under 30 minutes — no oven needed!
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups animal cracker crumbs (or graham crackers, vanilla wafers)
2 cups powdered sugar
1 ½ cups creamy peanut butter
Topping:
¼ cup peanut butter
10 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
Instructions
1. In a mixer or food processor, combine butter, cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and peanut butter until smooth.
2. Spread the mixture evenly into a 13×9-inch baking pan and press firmly.
3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate and peanut butter together for 1 minute. Stir until smooth.
4. Spread melted chocolate mixture evenly over the peanut butter base.
5. Chill the bars in the refrigerator for 1 hour or freezer for 15 minutes.
6. Cut into bars and serve chilled.
Notes
You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate with milk chocolate for a sweeter flavor, closer to Reese’s bars.
For a vegan version, use coconut oil and dairy-free chocolate.
For added crunch, mix in oats or crushed pretzels.
Store in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for up to three months.
