Description

Soft, chewy chocolate chip oatmeal bars that come together in under an hour. Perfect for snacks, bake sales, or a cozy dessert made from pantry staples.


Ingredients

1 cup All-Purpose Flour

1/4 tsp Baking Powder

1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon

1/4 tsp Kosher Salt

8 tbsp Unsalted Butter (melted)

1 cup Brown Sugar

1 large Egg

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1 cup Old-Fashioned Oats

1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

1/2 cup M&Ms


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line an 8×8 pan with parchment.

2. Whisk flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.

3. In another bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar.

4. Add egg and vanilla; stir to combine.

5. Fold in dry ingredients, oats, chocolate chips, and M&Ms.

6. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan.

7. Bake 24–28 minutes until golden brown on edges.

8. Cool before slicing into bars.

Notes

Use any mix-ins you like—nuts, butterscotch chips, or raisins.

Bars stay soft for 3 days at room temperature or up to 3 months frozen.
