Description
Experience a creamy provolone sauce enveloping tender steak, sautéed veggies, and cheese tortellini. It’s a comforting, delicious twist on a beloved favorite!
Ingredients
1 lb cheese tortellini
1 lb thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
8 oz provolone cheese, shredded
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook the steak until browned. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until tender.
4. Deglaze with beef broth and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
5. Add heavy cream and simmer until thickened.
6. Gradually stir in provolone cheese until smooth.
7. Return steak to the pan and mix until coated.
8. Toss in tortellini and combine well.
9. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly grated provolone for a smoother sauce.
Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
Best served fresh, but can be reheated with a splash of cream.
