Description

Fresh bruschetta dip made with tomatoes, basil, garlic, and olive oil. This easy Italian appetizer works well as a party snack or fresh summer dip served with toasted bread or crackers.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced fresh tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Dice the fresh tomatoes and place them in a bowl
  2. Add the minced garlic and chopped basil
  3. Drizzle the olive oil over the mixture
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste
  5. Mix gently until combined
  6. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes so the flavors blend
  7. Serve with toasted bread slices or crackers

Notes

  1. Use ripe, juicy tomatoes for the best flavor
  2. Do not add too much garlic or it can overpower the dip
  3. If the tomatoes release too much liquid, drain slightly before serving
  4. Serve soon after mixing for the freshest texture
  5. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days
